Canterlot Consequences
Twilight Sparkle was told she had much to think on. She did so, but perhaps not when Princess Celestia thought that she would.
NOTE: If you don't watch the series, then this story will make absolutely zero sense to you. You are fairly warned.
Best Served Cold
I call this multiple because there are other females to be included. He's a teenager, and he's got multiple girlfriends. Oddly, they know about each other. This will remain out of the smut zone, although references to sexual feelings will be made. (He's a teenager!)

Logic Dictates Action
This story has been on my hard drive for a long time.
In the episode where Deanna Troi tried for her Commander rank, she knew that she was taking a test. What if the person in question wasn't aware they were being tested?
Betrayed
Harry finds out that all is not as he thought it should be, and strikes out on his own. Friends are few and far between for a time.

Three updates

I didn't have the chance to update the story Betrayed over the weekend, so you get three chapters today.
I live!
Kinsfire posted on Wednesday 20th January 2010 4:51pm
Been far too long since I either posted or commented on this site. Real Life, writing to completion a few things, writing original stuff in hopes of publication - it's been a fun ride so far.
I've begun posting a story that I wrote in the 2007 NaNoWriMo. Since it's done, and been looked at a few times, I suspect that I'll post that one on a daily basis. Or thereabouts.
More will be posted after that one's done, but I'm going to try to finish a story before I post from now on. I've already got too many that are in an unfinished state.
Two stories removed - for now
Kinsfire posted on Saturday 9th June 2007 11:47am
I'm sure you'll note, if you look carefully around the site, that my two stories under "Original Stories" are now no longer here on FFA. The reason for this is simple.
I have a small chance of getting one or both published. Note the use of the word SMALL.
However, the chances are significantly higher than if I leave them up, even if all it did was raise the likelihood to 1/1000th of a percent. (I have no idea how much more likely it is now - that was
just an example.) That is far greater than zero, which is the likelihood of them seeing print if they stay up.
If the publishing falls through, then I'll put 'em back up. Until then, however...
Wishful Thinking
Kinsfire posted on Wednesday 30th May 2007 2:21am
Yes, I took over the story from Liz.
And I got to Chapter 9, started Chapter 10, and realised that I was about to put in a major continuity error. It can't be fixed through simple editing of the chapter, so I've pulled the chapter to
rewrite it and get rid of the error.
The new site is up
Kinsfire posted on Thursday 8th February 2007 5:30am
Okay - after some wait, the new site for the fics removed from here is up, over at http://www.kinsfire.net. There may still be a bobble or two in regards to the email, but those are getting worked out as you read this.
For those fics that exist both here and there, changes have been made to the version here to allow the fic to reside here once more. Some of these changes may be minor, but the difference is that it can live here again.

Sorceror's Apprentice has been removed as well.
NaNoWriMo is done; story is not
Kinsfire posted on Thursday 30th November 2006 3:50pm
I have gotten to the point I wanted - I've written 50K words in two separate stories. The first will undergo a rewrite at some point in the future, and this one (A Time To Reflect) is nearing
completion. I'm on Chapter Nine, and I'll be really surprised if the story goes to Chapter Eleven. I'll be working solely on this one until it's finished, and then go back to some of my other
unfinished stories.
At the last check, I had written 107,190 words for the month - with ten minutes to go in November. I think I've shown that I can be verbose.
Next year I see if I can be original.
Bah!
Kinsfire posted on Saturday 18th November 2006 6:36pm
I am running behind on the next chapter of A Time To Reflect.
Why?
OpenOffice crashed on me, and I have to catch up to where I was before, and then catch up to where I should be.
I am thinking language right now that I'd be a little antsy about putting in my most mature stories.
I'll get there, but I'm a little peeved about having to play catch-up.
Slight update to A Time To Reflect
Kinsfire posted on Friday 17th November 2006 5:56am
Someone pointed out that it was listed as rated "Everyone" when it had swearing and some more mature situations.
That was my fault. I had made a change to the story while I was creating it, and had to restart the process.
And forgot to set the rating again. I expect it to be at Teen + and not go higher.
Today's the 15th
Kinsfire posted on Wednesday 15th November 2006 8:02am
...and I'm not that many words from hitting 50,000.
It is my intention to finish this story tonight, and start a new one tomorrow.
Since Burning Day is unbeta'd, it is actually quite likely, when I get around to a rewrite to fix the problems, that I will expand sections that need it, and possibly bring it to a less speedy
end.
Or I may really like this ending and leave it alone.
But I want this done tonight, if possible.
Burning Day Update
Kinsfire posted on Monday 6th November 2006 4:36pm
Where I am, it's right about 12:30 am on November 7, and I am not finished with the chapter yet. I am, however, less than one thousand words away from the goal I need to hit for November 7,
word-wise. I may well break the level needed for the 8th as well by the end of this chapter, which I likely will be able to finish tomorrow. (Later today, really, but I haven't been to sleep yet, so
my body clock says that it's still the 6th, even though the clock says the 7th.)
So despair not - I haven't forgotten about the story, or gotten stuck. It's just a bit longer of a chapter than I expected it would be. (Plus the story finally earns its Adults Only
rating!)
Just when you thought it was safe...
Kinsfire posted on Thursday 7th September 2006 3:05am
...a new chapter of Ties of Blood finally makes its way to the site!
Remember, folks - this one is completely unbeta'd, so all the errors are there in all their glory.
Abandoning some stories
Kinsfire posted on Monday 21st August 2006 2:46am
This will not make fans of certain stories happy, but I am abandoning at least two stories: Sorceror's Apprentice, and My Father's Image. My Father's Image was an attempted rewrite of
Sorceror's Apprentice that simply did not work out, and I put in far too many major plots to safely deal with.
Now, if either story as it sits fires someone up to complete them by taking them in a direction that you want, just tell me about it, and you'll have my blessing - I'm not writing them any more, and
I just can't wrap my brain around the space needed to properly finish Sorceror's Apprentice.
My apologies.
After FAR too long, Ring of Doom!
Kinsfire posted on Sunday 13th August 2006 3:22pm
I have finally been able to get to a point where I can work on Harry Potter and the Ring of Doom. It has been TWO
YEARS since I did anything with it, so that's an accomplishment in and of itself.
I've sent the first 24 chapters to the first-line beta, who will work his way through them. As he sends them back, I'll send them on to the second-line beta, and finally to the third. Once I have a
couple chapters available, I will start posting them. Depending on how fast they return to me, it might be as slow as once every two weeks, or I might be lucky enough to start posting them one a day.
Considering that I'm on Chapter 25 right now, and have Chapter 26 finished (since Dorothy/Ishtar is co-writing it with me), even at one a day, it will be close to a month before the entire series to
date will be online.
Keep your eyes on this site, because the story will be coming soon!
Very minor edit to ISOS

I had pointed out to me that there was a tiny error in the chapter, so I fixed it.
An Update!
Kinsfire posted on Thursday 20th April 2006 12:39am
After far too long, an update to Like A Phoenix From The Ashes has happened! Chapter 14 is now available for your perusal.
Updates, updates everywhere!
Kinsfire posted on Tuesday 28th February 2006 10:31am
You'll see over the next week or so a bunch of new stories arriving on the site. I'm finally getting some of my other work posted here.
So they aren't new stories, they're simply old ones that are new to this site.
A new forum is now online!
Kinsfire posted on Sunday 19th February 2006 2:35pm
If you go to http://forum.fanficauthors.net you will find a brand new forum set up for FFA domain. Note that it is not guaranteed that all
authors will use this, so be sure to check with a given author.
However, I personally am one of the people who will be using the new BBS system at the URL listed above. This does not mean that I will be dropping the Yahoo! group.
As an aside, as she will undoubtedly note, Ishtar has her own forum as well, and is likely going to use that site for discussions for her stories.
Works In Progress
Kinsfire posted on Monday 23rd January 2006 5:44am
Well, Jeconais has given a listing of WIPs and their progress, so I figure that I should do the same. So, without further ado, here goes.
- Ties of Blood - the one I'm currently working on, and intend to keep working on until it is flat out finished. I'm only at the beginning of fifth year, and I've got something like 6700 words in that chapter.
- Like a Phoenix From the Ashes. - I'll be picking that one up after I finish Ties. It's not that far from completion - just a few chapters.
- My Father's Image - this one may well be abandoned in it's current form. I have a story I want to do with that, but there are two major plot lines running through it that will be very difficult to reconcile.
- Sorceror's Apprentice - not abandoned either, but back burner. There's a lot of story there that I need to get to, and it's a fairly angsty fic. Besides, there's something I need for the end of the thing that needs to be reconciled. Not impossible, just annoying.
- Ring of Doom - like hell is this abandoned! I need to get Frodo and Sam… I mean Harry and Ron out of Gondor and to meet Shelob.
- It Started One Summer - this one will be getting a rewrite, because I've had an idea that makes the beginning work better, at least to me. It will change things through the story, and may well get rid of a plot point that I personally don't like, and don't remember why I added it.
- Dark Clouds - my own Azkaban!Harry fic, HBP compliant. I'll be working on this one as well, and expect it to be fairly short, actually.
- With A Little Help From My Friends - I still haven't gotten anyone laid yet in that! I'll be working on that one as well soon. It's got the possibility to be a short fic, or balloon out into an epic of sorts. With the number of other epics I have, I'm leaning towards short.
- Three For All - This one is on hold until a slash scene gets written by Ishtar. It fits within the story completely, and will be teaching Harry/Blossom something. If finding out that it will contain slash drives some people away from the story, then so be it.
Well, that's nine incomplete stories. If I put them in the order that I intend on working on them, I'd have to say ToB, LaPFtA, either Help or Summer, with the other one being next. Dark Clouds would likely be next. Could get surprised and find myself working on Ring of Doom after I finish Ties of Blood, though, so there's no assurances other than the fact that I'm going to finish Ties before I work on anything else.
The Update With No Name
Kinsfire posted on Sunday 22nd January 2006 4:17pm
Been a while since I last posted one of these.
In answer to the question that everyone has been asking, it was NOT a mistake that McGonagall called him 'Potter'. She'd just read that awful pink parchment, and Umbridge is bound and
determined to make Harry answer to the name Potter before the year is out. It was in McGonall's head, and it slipped out. Harry was angry enough already at everything else, and she makes
him angrier just seconds later.
Minerva has made a VERY large mistake in that meeting, and by the time she realises it, it will be far to late to fix it. And calling him 'Potter' has nothing to do with it.
