Quite an unusual premise with an excellent story attached. As for what happens after Chapter 4, I'm sure you could most excellently write chapters that would meet or exceed our imaginations. -grin-

I love this story. I hope that you decide to update it soon. I feel like I have a lot invested into the characters and want to see them through to the end. I know, I know, you are working on Ties of Blood (another story which I greatly admire), I just wish for another update as it has been forever for this one.

Narcissa is a coupling (no pun intended) I would never envision. She seems a whole lot nicer than canon, and well in line with your potrrayal of her in 'Fm\amily Matters'. Freudian slip? A very *deliberate* one. AD is determined to head *any* busybodies off at the proverbial pass, including the Governors. However, the new Lord Black, as an Emancipated Minor, can actually join the BoG himself (oddly enough, vice Lucius Malfoy) and the Wizengamot (vice the previous Lord *Black* and/or James' father) and possibly the ICW (vice Albus Dumbledore, if he retires from the ICW once Tom is through). The biggest problem will be *increased* demands on Harry once Tom *is* through. The largest set of demands will be for, not surprisingly, his *teaching* services. As DA president and chief instructor, he taught students both younger *and* older than him standard therough Auror-class spellwork. And the Department of Magical Law Enforment won't want that talent helping rebuild the Aurors, since they won't be able to have him as an Auror? Harry hasn't realized that yet, and Hermione hasn't told Narcissa that bit, either.

Quite different. Be interesting to see how Hermione and Harry explain this to Hermione's parents. Though with Hermione being 17 on the 19-Sept and an adult in the wizarding world, should be of help.

Narcissa could be the younger sister of Sirius and was married immediately after her Hogwarts days ended to Lucius Malfoy so that she is ~34 yrs old with Lucius being considerably older. (Draco 16 Yrs old + 17 yr old Narcissa at time of conception) This would fit in with her crushing on James Potter if she was a year or two younger.

Severus is *busted*, and Harry and Hermione engage in Draco-sledging. (What would YOU call it when Harry breaks his jaw and Hermione crushes the last of the Malfoy family jewels?) Harry also publicly proposes to Hermione (after having already proposed to Narcissa, at Hermione's own behest), and she, like Narcissa, accepts. So, unless Tom interferes, the wedding of Hermione and Narcissa to Harry *will* happen. Amazingly, Ron has no objections whatever, to *any* of the Upcoming Events (to Harry marrying either lady, or both, or even to Narcissa taking over Potions). Yep...Narcissa Black-Potter-Black will become the new Potions Mistress (vice the now-jailed Severus Snape). That rather unusual last name is because Narcissa took her maiden name back when she divorced Lucius, *and* Harry agreed to Sirius' adoption which predated his winding up in Azkaban without a trial (Harry thus becomes Harry James Potter-Black, *and* the current Lord Black). So, the wedding will result in:

Sir Harry James Potter-Black
Lady Hermione Jane Granger-Potter-Black
Lady Narcissa Black-Potter-Black

Good chapter, though I wouldn't have minded seeing Snivelus get a chance to open his mouth before Harry blasted him, but oh well, can't complaing about the way things went. I wonder how long it will take for Harry's engaged status to reach the Prophet? Or more to the point, how long it will take Fudge to show up and act like an arse. Great job, thank you.

Please tell me that they do not STAY stupid!!! I was raised a Mormon - we know, even though we no longer practice it, that polygamy IS the natural state of healthy adults. I hope that by the end of next chapter all 3 of them are together
