This looks like an ... interesting start to a story. I rather expect that I'll enjoy this one as much as I do the rest of your writings.

Is it really Lily Evans Potter? No, it's not, because no British woman (or Commonwealth, or indeed anyone but a Yank) would ever use their maiden name as a middle name like that -- American authors, kindly take note. It may well be Lily Potter, nee Evans, but that's what the story's all about, isn't it?
When is this set -- post OotP, obviously, but is it in the summer before sixth year? Or later? Either way, the conflicts you have set up between Harry and Dumbledore have potential to send this story in all sorts of unexpected directions, and I don't imagine that Lily will be happy with the Headmaster's treatment of her son, either.
Ah, well, we shall see...
Kinsfire replied:
Thank you. I honestly hadn't known that about using the maiden name - must be an American thing. I may well go in and change that in the description.
I was thinking of doing what I'm doing with all my stories except Dark Clouds - pretend that Book Six didn't happen. I do not like it, and think she broke too many of her own characters. (Which is not to say that I do them properly, either. *grin*) This is likely to be a post OotP story, written as I get to it, when I need to write, but simply can't get going on the chapter of whatever I'm working on.

Uh-oh. If this really *is* Lily, then Harry isn't in trouble. However, *Albus Dumbledore* sure is! (And it could very well *be* Lily (if her soul were trapped in Harry's body somehow), which would explain the Misfired Killing Curse.)

Nice start, now what? And what about your other stories? Is this just an evil plot to keep us poor readers in suspense longer?
