WOW - in large multiples - that was one of the hottest chapters i have ever read, in over 40 years - your work is so good it is impossible to say which WIP I want you to work on 1st. Thanks for everything.
Warmest regards

I like this story, and your portrayal of Hermione, and I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I do the same thing that Hermione does faced with tons of books. It's slightly depressing...

Dumbledore is NOT in favor of Harry being trapped at the Dursleys (in fact, he in no way defended the position). He stated that the position was that of two major factions of the MINISTRY. There are two factions that wish Harry either dead or in Azkaban; Harry himself is aware of that. The Fudge faction has their head in the sand and wishes to keep it there, by nearly any means necessary. The Death Eater faction simply wants Harry taken off the threat board; preferably as a corpse, but they are certainly willing to cooperate with the Fudge faction to send him to Azkaban (how else would Fudge have managed to have Harry tried *as an adult* by the full Wizengamot in OotP?) The two factions combined are apparently larger than the Dumbledore/Order faction. In the political wars (which is where things are now), Harry AND Dumbledore are outmanned and (for now) outgunned. Don't expect Harry to take it lying down, however.

Harry is throwing thunder and lightning, and very little has been safe. First Lily apologizes, then he extracts an apology from Dumbledore. Later that same day, Harry drops the third, fourth, and fifth bolts of an already-busy day on the Dursleys (and rubs their noses in the fact that he is free from those pesky notices from Mafalda Hopkirk), just before doing a major expansion of his bedroom to the same meterage as the REST of #4, and invites Hermione over the next day, who manages to (eventually) seduce him (after a couple of false starts). Amazingly, Hermione finds out that Harry's OTHER wand is even more magical than his holly-and-Fawkes-feather variety. I think that Lily and Tonks will be a bit *envious* once Hermione gives them the news
