i am surprised that harry has been as civil as he was. I would of just expected him to apparate into Diagion Alley, and challenge Barileus to come out.

I look forward to some serious ass-kicking. Love to see some kind of brutal payback from Harry.

oh boy! this is gonna get sticky! Excellent start; and I am really most sincerely jealous of how fast you got this written. I have just barely decided on what story I'm going to tell; and you have this already out there? Oy!

I had a slight jump on you - someone suggested a sequel to me, which sounded so good for the NaNoWriMo that I needed to finish Like a Phoenix first.

So I've actually been working with this plot for about two weeks now, just waiting for yesterday.   The hard part is actually writing the bridges between the important parts that I want to touch.

Mind you, if this works the way I want it to, this story will be finished by November 15th, and be at least 50,000 words. I'm actually hoping to do TWO stories for NaNoWriMo this year.

Oh, my. It sounds like that dark idiot really has no idea what he's getting into; either that or he's got a lot more power than Tom had. Either way it's going to get rather interesting.

*chuckle* Now, if this was a real western, toward the end of this chapter is where "Bugler, sound 'Boots & Saddles'!" would be the command. As 'tis, it's going to be an "interesting" development of the correlation of forces.

OUTSTANDING BEGINING!!!! I absolutely hate this Lord Basileus jerk already, I mean to harm a perfectly innocent child by removing on of there fingers. I hope Harry and his wives and Severus and Albus remove his genatalia with a rusty spoon after they've all urinated on it and then proceed to remove his eyes with the same spoon before ultimatly killing him. Oh wow someone is the dumbest Dark Lord to ever live, though he must have a good few ward breakers to get into the Lovegood Home. Not to mention an inside man to kill Fudge and Know Harry's Daughter was at her grand fathers... though they were more then likely seen walking around town.

The finger I'm going to assume was middle, ring, or pointer as you didn't mention which it was and the thumb and pinky would stand out. Though it could have been fake as they didn't check... which if that was true Harry might not kill him slowly, so I look forward to find out which it is.

Anyway wonderful work, makes you drool for the next chapter already so you can see Harry tear the Dark wanabe and his troops apart. Not to mention seeing your Snape use some of his own spell right along side him, whom is surprisingly likeable... if a little sappy with Harry at times. =) So again great work, and thanks for sharing it with all of us.

Interesting start! I do second Severus' closing line... SO, five years in paradise, and "Lord Basileus" enters. Some creatures are just too stupid for their own good. You just don't touch the child of the most powerful wizard if you want to live. I doubt this will be pretty, but most probably it will be fun to read.

Excellent start, Keith.

A lot is going on in this chapter. You go though all the setup of everyone relaxing around the island then throw us all into the deep end of the pool.

I know story-wise it's been 5 years, but the changes to Severus still seemed a bit abrupt (especially since you just posted the final chapters of LAPFTA the other day). Still, it's interesting to see him as a human being.

I have my suspicions as to who the new Dark Lord Basileus is, but I'll hold my opinion for now (although you may have already given it away).

I'm assuming you'll be posting every day during the month of November. Looking forward to seeing all that you do.
