You don't waste any time, do you. Right into the plot! Good job. Get that child rescued right away.

Nice start. Looking forward to the rest.

And gee, you wrote more than twice as many words your first NaNoWriMo day than I did.

Three guesses who Lord Basilieus is. However, he is facing several Major Problems:

1. Albus Dumbledore is *fully* behind Harry.
2. Severus Snape is *fully* behind Harry.
3. The Ministry (via Percy) is actually *mostly* behind Harry. (I assume I don't have to remind you who is likely *still* running Magical Law Enforcement.)
4. Harry still has his wives, now backed by *all* of the Weasleys (except the missing Bill and Charlie) in his corner.
5. Last, but not least, Ragnok (and thus the entirety of the Goblin Confederation) is in his corner.

Welcome surprises:

1. Percy Weasley. He's stopped being a prat, *and* he also had the sense to marry DeLuscious Daphne Greengrass (unless she's married to Ron). That needs to be cleared up.

2. Molly Weasley. She is *not* as quick to overreact, and she actually remembers her manners (notice her *lack* of reaction to all the bare witch-flesh on Black Island, and Daphne being topless didn't faze her, either).

3. Severus Snape. While he is no longer teaching at Hogwarts, he *does* still teach Potions. He's also a MUCH more relaxerd person than he has been.

Oh, you're evil!

So how many kids does Harry have at this point? If Pansy's on her second pregnancy that would be at least the fifth, and only if none of the others had any more after their first, which I can't imagine to be the case :)

Write more soon!

I can't help but review this one, I don't know who you have lined up for the new 'dork Lord' but it's going to be fun watching him get shredded.

OoooH! Wow, what a start. There's nothing like a Dark Lord Wannabe with a death wish!

pretty cool. just wish you hadnt made it five years into the future. i really liked the previouse story. i've just always felt that five years is a HUGE plot gap. but i will keep reading in the hopes that you will be able to fill it in nicely

very nice story kinfire. i still hope to wonder what the real name of this new 'Dark Lord' is for them to come up with the name Basileus

DJ Rodriguez posted a comment on Thursday 2nd November 2006 12:24am

*Growls* When I get my hands on this 'Lord', he better have a ticket to Hell because that's where I'm sending him, First-class!! Harry, do what you have to in order to save your daughter! I hope that there is a potion or something that will restore her finger. Bastard D.L. wannabe!! I WANT TO CHOP HIM UP INTO LITTLE PIECES AND THROW THEM IN THE SALTEST SEA WATER!!!! A harm that befalls a child... means instant death.

Lord Basileus? Isn't calling oneself 'Lord King' (classical Greek) or 'Lord War Chief' (Linear B) rather pretentious? Of course, I guess most Dark Lord wannabes tend in that direction.

Thank you!   I knew at least one of my readers would get this!   Mind you, the source I found said that it could also mean 'Emperor'.

Which might give a clue as to who the Dark Idiot is...

No good deed goes unpunished indeed. I hope the threefold rule comes into play here. An evocative return to this version of Harry's life - poor guy can't seem to get a break. "With great power comes. . ." we all know the rest. Now lets kick some arse noir !

A bit early to really know but a good start.

Thank you for the confession of minor larceny (I really don't mind)
