I remember seeing this before, somewhere. It's a good start to a story, but I want to see some more. This version of Dumbledore's a sneaky swine, and not that much morally superior to Riddle---I'd think that after seeing that Harry was being beaten, they'd have the mother-wit to have someone moving in with the Dursleys to keep the scene serene.

Good starting chapter, I look forward to reading more, especially about Harry's meeting with the gnomes.
