This is an excellent beginning. Dumbledore is definitely bad in this one. He must know that Harry is being beaten at Privet Drive. I'm glad Hermione figured out that Dumbledore had her under the imperious. Now maybe she will help Harry if she finds him. I look forward to more of this story. p

Hermione not being able to throw off the Imperious until the MOB tells her to hurt Harry makes since. It makes the letter she sent earlier in the chapter believable.

I'm more of a fan of Tonks Remus being on Harry's side but not all that bothered when they switch sides. It makes for a change of pace.

That the Goblins are thick with Bumblebore is also a change of pace. Seems like 90%+ of the tales where they are involved have them plotting with Harry on how to put one over on him. Or at least the ones I've read.

A good solid opening chapter. The stage is set, now on with the play.

Wonderful! This sounds like a good story. I am glad that Hermione figured out she's been spelled. I hope Katjie helps Harry.

In addition to you usual great writing and interesting story lines, I fell for this story as soon as the young lady in Amsterdam introduced herself. My late aunt was name Kaatje Vliet :-)

I'd give it about a 3/10. Like most of your stories, Harry is a perpetual victim of just about everyone else in the world (except the 15 women who he is desperately in love with). He's abused by Snape, Dumbledore, and his non-magical relatives. The one person who doesn't abuse him is Voldemort, and it's hard to understand why Harry doesn't join him to be honest, given the way those on the 'light' side treat him. In short, the story is incredibly unrealistic and is literally painful to read.

Is this a repost? I'd swear I've read this before. The plot is extremely cliched, but the story's still fun.
"Pookie-pie" is always good. ;-)

Was this written more than 5 years ago? Otherwise, very cliche.

Oh yes, I do like this. Harry on the loose and going to the very head of the magical money controllers. Please, please update this as soon as possible. Carol layland

Well written start to a new fic...doesn't waste time with an overly descriptive paragraph, jumps straight into the thick of things. Surprised but pleased to see a new take on Harry's 'compulsory' trip to Gringrotts after escaping--good to see a manipulative Dumbledore who isn't caught completely off guard and actually has contingencies in place.

Don't know about the woman Harry met though--strangers, and already deciding to share a meal, just like that? Would've been good to see a bit more build up in that regard.

Looking forward to seeing what makes this betrayal-fic unique. Got some good potential here, and I hope it pans out well.

I'm going to enjoy this story. Please do me a favor, and put this high on your priority list. I find that my 60 years have not made me a patient person. Old age must be overrated. Peace.

Huh ... well this is an interesting angle.
I wonder how else is "evil".

Laughed at Miss "Caught You High Tailing".

The whole Hermione suddenly realises she's been under the Imperius (speeled correctly for once!) thing seemed a bit quick. Some background might have been useful.

It's always a pleasure to read your writings, and this is no different. Well done & thanks.

Really enjoyed this start, and was glad to see that not everyone seems to be against Harry, though it sure looks like Dumbledore is a right jerk there. Will be curious how the meeting with the Gnomes go, if Hermione is on the up and up with her confession, and what all it will mean for Harry, especially since the Goblins are just basically jerks who aren't anywhere near as helpful as we'd like to wish they could be at times.

i like this, is this a one shot or a multi chapter fic? and if it is multi chapter are you going to continue it?

i only ask because it has been a LONG time sence you have updated any of your stories that i thought you had given up fan fiction
