I've no idea why you got a negative response to this story; it's fun! I mean, if you're looking for oh-so-deep and meaningful angst, you're SOL, but as a fun story, it works.

I do have... well, issues seems a bit strong... let's say pamphlets... with your Harry portrayal. He seems awfully... mature and contained. I dunno. I admit, I haven't directly read anything past GoF, so that may be what's affecting my judgment. All my HP experience past that is fic and my fiancee telling me about it. It's still cool, but it doesn't seem quite right; then again, when I was around that age, I was a bit over-adult with my speech patterns too.

As for being too adult? You're probably right. It was written fairly fast, and for an in-story explanation? Off the top of my head (as in right now) I came up with:

He's not really been raised by the Dursleys. He's had to learn to do a lot of things himself, and as much as he likes to have fun around Ron, when push comes to shove, he'll do the right thing. Since this was a seventh year story (I forget if that's stated in the fic), he's learned to think about things a lot more, especially after the fiasco with Sirius at the end of fifth year. So he thinks more about things, and tends to a more adult route in his thought and speech patterns.

How's that? *grin*

I don't know why you got any bad reviews for this fic. It is a good read with a healthy and funny twist to the some times boring stories that authors usually put up when they put sex or try to put sex into the fics they write. I really like the dance scene you put into the end. The only place that would be improve greatly is at the place where Harry falls and where they get into the shower, that section could be expanded and refined so that harry's and ginny's actions could be better visulised by the reader.
