This sounds like the real Snape. Book 6 Snape just wasn't real, if anything in the Potterverse can be called real.

Excellent!
I have really enjoyed the first four sections of this finely written and sexy story. You have a sharp and very clever sense of humour, and it makes a good story even better.
I am seriously looking forward to the next chapter.

Very interesting.

Thank you very much for the update. Nice to see Dumbledore trying to change, and realising that he screwed up.

More soon, please.

This is a pretty impresive fic. In a way the story feels like a tease. I have come acustomed to your mature fic writing. So when you do the whole turn to the fireplace when the sceen get hot it leave a person waning more. I am in no way saying change the fic. I only express an opinion.

A most awesome chapter. I truly wonder about Snape . . . what will he chose when he is fianlly made to? will he ever see harry as his own person and not a carbon copy of James? How many people actually believe that Harry is in paris? Remus and the twins obviously saw through the lie . . . what of Bill? would Fleur keep a secret from him? Keep up the good work

Thanks for sharing

So many things left wide open... Is this purely a pleasure trip, or a little business mixed in as well? An honest Snape? (Hades is freezing over as I type this.) And backstory...we need backstory with the intimate details. That piece is not for deliberation.

Always enjoyed your work. I just hope that one is holds your attention for a while as I am partial to the pairing.

Best regards and post again soon.

I like the Snape dynamics. The pressure is building for him. Looking forward to the final decision.

Like how Remus and the Twins figured out that Harry isn't where Fleur said he was.

Dumbledore just doesn't learn, does he. At least he's cracking down on Snape. That's very unique in fanon.

Thanks for writing.

Severus Snape is up against it....and he gives as honest an answer as he can....and amazingly, Moldie *doesn't* hammer (or AK) him for it. However, Moldie has *also* given the Potions Master food for thought...as has Dumbledore. Meanwhile, Harry and Hermione put some more miles between themselves and the Order, who are in a considerable mess (in the case of Remus and the twins, because of the private bombshell dropped on them by Fleur concerning our Wayward Couple). However, I think Remus and ther Twins (possibly aided by a certain female Auror) will be whacking a Certain Pair Of Weasleys with the Clue-By-Four regarding the missing pair.

Great story so far. Looking forward to more.

Ouch, poor Severus. Playing both sides against one another, while probably the "safest" tactical move given his position, generally doesn't work in HP fanfiction. However, I'm looking forward to seeing how you write this "neutral" Snape in future chapters.

In fact, this may very well be the first of your fics where I'm more interested at the moment in what the people not directly with Harry are doing than what Harry is. Not that Harry's not interesting, and I am looking forward to seeing how the H/Hr relationship develops (and say, wouldn't they be heading around Krum's old stomping grounds...). It's just nice to see some characters that don't typically get a lot of screentime in your fics (like Fleur, and to a lesser extent Snape) as they get a chance to shine.

I can't wait to find out how Ron takes this news. Ginny will probably be fine with it (and if she's not, I have no doubts that she will a few nights after they return), but Ron's one that based on past history could go either way. Any hints?

Congratulations, Keith, Mate. That was a great chapter, and I especially enjoyed watching Albus put Snape in his place. Then again, Snape and Voldemort was rather enjoyable too. Who knew Voldie had a sense of humour?

Great story, I love the whole Harry not taking crap from anyone character. Seems more human more fallable, as a true hero should be and not some great figure with no faults. Again great job and hopefully you'll post the new chapter soon.

I would not have thought Snivellus capable of being that honest, even with himself, never mind with some one who can crush him like a bug.

thanks - updates on ANY of your stories are always appreciated.

I can't wait to see were you go with this. But Harry is going to have to show up to save Black's money.

Timing was perfect. Just re-read the first three chapters yesterday.

We got the explanation for how the twins knew Harry and Hermione weren't in Paris, but what tipped Remus off?

Evan Mayerle posted a comment on Monday 25th September 2006 2:26pm

And the plot thickens! I love the different threads you're starting to weave here. This version of Severus Snape is believeable, his primary goal is survival and making as long a run as he can. I can appreciate such sentiments.

Musings of Apathy posted a comment on Monday 25th September 2006 2:06pm

Ah, got to love Harry's true friends. Remus, Fred and George are real gems; intelligent and fastidious. Always prepared to help Harry, not necessarily the Order.

Also, this treatment of a potential multiple in the bed relationship, I think that you have it right as one scenario that would work, sometimes. One real relationship and the rest of the partners are just for entertainment. As long as everyone understands that that is the score, it could work.

Thank you for writing.
