As always, a wonderful lead-in chapter. It looks to me that Draco is up to his old tricks. I wonder if Fudge let him bribe his way back into respectibility, or if he found another way. Of all the characters, Draco is the only one with definate ties to Voldy, that seemed to have escaped unscathed. Narcissa would surely have been sent to Azkaban, but likely enough money in the right hands would ensure her 'early release'.
Draco is also the one left from the old guard, who possesses the background of cruelty to mutilate a child. I for one, hope to see Harry tear him a new asshole...from the inside out! (I have a daughter.)
I see the Prophet is again the ministry's mouthpiece. I wonder if it's time for Harry to take a moe active role in the wizarding press. If he was to buy the paper, or at least a controlling interest in it, he could force some rather seriously needed changes. Ok, nuff sed.
As always, I look forward to the next chapter of 'Burning day. Alorkin

Oh boy and so it begins again. this time though Harry already has allies, so he isnt having to start from stratch.
bit cliche sending a finger, but hey good or original dark lords are hard to find I guess :)
Good chapter, be fun seeing where this goes.

I think "Lord Basileus" just made a giant boo-boo.
How stupid do you have to be to kidnap and mutilate the daughter of the Wizard and Witches who destroyed Voldie and his mangey pack of lickspittles?
This is going to be a fun story and I'm all agog to read the next chapter. Please update soon.

You don't waste any time, do you. Right into the plot! Good job. Get that child rescued right away.
Nice start. Looking forward to the rest.
And gee, you wrote more than twice as many words your first NaNoWriMo day than I did.

Three guesses who Lord Basilieus is. However, he is facing several Major Problems:
1. Albus Dumbledore is *fully* behind Harry.
2. Severus Snape is *fully* behind Harry.
3. The Ministry (via Percy) is actually *mostly* behind Harry. (I assume I don't have to remind you who is likely *still* running Magical Law Enforcement.)
4. Harry still has his wives, now backed by *all* of the Weasleys (except the missing Bill and Charlie) in his corner.
5. Last, but not least, Ragnok (and thus the entirety of the Goblin Confederation) is in his corner.
Welcome surprises:
1. Percy Weasley. He's stopped being a prat, *and* he also had the sense to marry DeLuscious Daphne Greengrass (unless she's married to Ron). That needs to be cleared up.
2. Molly Weasley. She is *not* as quick to overreact, and she actually remembers her manners (notice her *lack* of reaction to all the bare witch-flesh on Black Island, and Daphne being topless didn't faze her, either).
3. Severus Snape. While he is no longer teaching at Hogwarts, he *does* still teach Potions. He's also a MUCH more relaxerd person than he has been.

Oh, you're evil!
So how many kids does Harry have at this point? If Pansy's on her second pregnancy that would be at least the fifth, and only if none of the others had any more after their first, which I can't imagine to be the case :)
Write more soon!

I can't help but review this one, I don't know who you have lined up for the new 'dork Lord' but it's going to be fun watching him get shredded.

OoooH! Wow, what a start. There's nothing like a Dark Lord Wannabe with a death wish!

pretty cool. just wish you hadnt made it five years into the future. i really liked the previouse story. i've just always felt that five years is a HUGE plot gap. but i will keep reading in the hopes that you will be able to fill it in nicely
