I hope that Harry will "clean up" the WW this time.

Holy moly, this is getting scary. Umbridge is screwing with the wrong family. What a screwed up thing to do. I have got to see what Harry does in response to this.

Interesting developments... and a nasty cliffhanger at the end.
Harry being able to forgive afterward is a definitely mellowing of his character over the five years between. (Though it started with Ron and Ginny at the end of LAPFTA.)
I notice that one of the discussions from the yahoo group made it onto here. = )

I think Umbridge just signed her own death warrant. Just let her try to take any of Harry's other kids and see what happens.

Well, I'm honestly surprised you let lord bad-stitch to survive, I think what happened to him is absolutely nothing when compared to the eventual destruction of Umbitch. She is following the money just as dear old Cornholio did.
Please tell me you're gonna make her demise both messy and permanent. This new educational edict...erm, Executive Order, is going to make several people extremely irate. It never ceases to amaze em how stupid the wizardfing world, especially it's government can be. Um, Delores, what size do you want your coffin? Short, extra wide? Alorkin

Oh, HELL no, she didn't!!!!! But yeah, she did. Oh, man, the next chapter is SO gonna kick ass. :-D hehehe. This one was good, too, don't get me wrong. This is so obviously a strike at Harry, as I'm willing to bet that no one else has a polygamous marriage. This'd be a great time for this to be one of those fics where Harry owns the Daily Prophet and they actually report the truth. ;) hehehehe. Front page news "I WANT MY DAUGHTER BACK", etc,.... man, that'd be good. ;) hehehe. Man, I can't WAIT for the next chapter!!!! please please please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update soon! (gah, I can't believe I devolved into senseless begging.) Hey, it's good; what can I say? ;) hehehe

Fabulous chapter!
Lord Bowelspasm is gone, now we have The Repellent Amphibian to be squashed by Harry and Co.
This is proving to be one of my favorite stories of all time. Keep up the great work!

So what is Harry's next step? I know Hermione's: Since the five live on the island now they are no longer residents of the British Isles and therefore not subject to the law. Furthermore, if Lorelie was not born there then she is not a citizen of the British Isles and not a subject of the Ministry.
Harry needs to just kill her and get it over with. Whoever succeeds her will be much easier to deal with.

Now that was a clever little ploy by Umbridge. Declare the child a ward of the Ministry and therefore she isn't a victim of a kidnapping. Did she by any chance backdate the law to just prior to the kidnapping?
Nice story. So far all action and no smut but we can't have everything now can we?

First of all, what gives that Ministry of Magic makes laws? Government (and ministry) is executive arm, not legislative. Executive Orders cannot bring new laws.
Second, one of the most sacred rules of the law is "lex retro non agit" that law doesn't act on the past, it affects only future events.
So, I guess there will be war on Ministry of Magic, and perhaps first succesfull goblin isurrection...

People will be finding pieces of Umbridge for years to come. They might even find some on other planets.

Come to think of it - ex post facto laws are specifically forbidden by the US Constitution (though Congress has gotten around that on a number of occasions, and will again, I'm sure). Do the British have that protection?
No the last time that I checked, the British do not have that protection. Something law that allows the parliament to pass any law it wishes.
So in theory, there was nothing illegal about what Umbridge. Morally wrong yes, illegal no.
And I still stand by my last review

PLease tell me that Umbridge will die a most painful death.
So far I love the story, my heart dropped a little when I read the executive order

And now I see where the title of this fic comes from. The Ministry will have to undergo the fires of purification, before arising from the ashes pure once more. And Umbitch is going to be one of the ashes left behind.
