By that last line are we to assume that Albus has learned his lesson?
Or perhaps, as in so many instances in canon where he was proven wrong, he merely enjoys pointing out the supposed faults in others while ignoring his own?
Unusually short chapter for you, is there a reason? I hope you aren't having any serious problems, either personal or with the writing.

Very disappointed in Amellia. At this point, there are no known adults in the British WW that have any idea what truth and justice are or any idea of compassion.

I like what you've done here with this chapter. I was afraid you were going to go into tedious detail about what Harry was doing. I am so glad you haven't: Less is more and knowing how things look from the perspectives of the wizards and witches in the UK only is a good touch. It gives Harry an air of mystery.

"Whose fault is it?" - oh, the irony on that question had to have choked AD.

"You Know Who has returned, and we need Potter to fight him!..." Cornelius might as well have added "...And then die or go away again." Harry has been through the revered/reviled cycle enough. But I doubt that it is just the Ministry that expects him to return, do the dirty work for everyone else, be feted for a while, and then discarded. It seems a pretty common failing.

Neat to see some of the aftermath with Harry being gone, and will look forward to what happens next with Harry if he returns, while Dumbledore finally seems to have gotten fed up with all the power plays there.

A well written sense of desperation from Dumbledore.

Short Chapter :( The story isn't bad, but the nearly 9k in size difference is glaring.

Second thoughts: "Whose fault is that?" is a constant refrain throughout this installment. At least Albus appears to have had the grace to learn from this as shown by his behavior in the last scene while it appears that Cornelius and Delores haven't, or won't, learn that lesson; the jury appears to still be out on Percy and he appears to have a chance, though slim, of redeeming himself. It should be right interesting to find out where Harry's been, what (and who0 he's been doing, and what he'll require before he returns to England to deal with Tom (be amusing if other societies have found ways of removing his link with Tom and that's causing Tom extra pain/problems).

I'm getting seriously amused at the way everyone else is running around. Will Harry do what he had said in Chap 1? I'm just curious if Harry's getting training and have another wand or staff.

Well, one cannot sow nails and expect to reap marshmallows now, can one?
However, one can sow some saucy comments and affection to later reap the benefits. The twinkle in Hermione's eye cracked me up something fierce. However, this installments cake was taken by Percy mocking himself. Most unexpected, and possibly a road to redemption. After all, the main complaint about Percy is that he takes himself way too seriously, which of course means that he can do no wrong. You tend to redeem him, so I'm hoping. I kinda like the git.
Now, please, what did Harry do, how did he pull it off and where is he?
Keep it up, and may several forgotten minor deities bless each key on your computer. (They have the time to do a proper job.)
