Nice to see something from you, Kins! Once again, I'm hooked on the possibilities and can't wait for what's next. A bit rushed on the relationship side, I think, but still, you were trying to get through a whole summer in a chapter as a prologue-esque chapter.

Been a big fan of your stories for a while, so getting something new to read is always a delight! I am looking forward to reading how this story plays out.


Quick question, the word count for the first chapter is at 11,783 but the actual chapter has a little less than 6,000 words. Was part of the story cut off or is the word count being displayed incorrect?

This looks like it will be quite an interesting tale. I look forward to seeing what you have in store. I will say that I don't think the goblins, at least as a nation, would confiscate anything from anybody for the Ministry of Magic. I don't believe they take sides between humans, instead protecting everyone's valuables equally. That's why Sirius Black had access to his money to buy a Firebolt for Harry. Once they proven they'll help the Ministry or anybody else rob someone, no one would trust them with their gold again.

Definately an interesting twist although perhaps a bit downplayed on the mchinations of the wizarding world against Harry and I'd have liked to have seen more on the efforts to prevent the meeting with Major and how Harry circumvented them. Bring on Chapter 2!

This is a good start. I think Harry's been planning ahead for a while, and he's got a lot of eventualities covered. One thing I've wondered about is: Would it be possible for a wizard or witch to have more than one wand? Ollivander's may be the best place to get them, but that doesn't mean it's the only one...in my own "The Girl Nobody Knows: A Soliloquy" the "heroine" mentioned buying several used wands on the second-hand market and stashing them here and there, just in case,

Harry's definitely in a bit of a pickle. He has one Dark Lord out to control his every action. Another Dark Lord is out to kill him, and he has a corrupt Ministry determined to shove its head so far into the sand that they would snap his wand instead of facing the truth.

I look forward to his vengeance. May his enemies be broken spiritually, emotionally, financially, and psychologically by the end of this story.
